Cents

The bar spans −50 to +50 cents. Zero is perfectly in tune. The history line shows where you’ve been — useful for spotting whether certain registers consistently drift sharp or flat.

Clarinet (B♭) is already selected — note names match your written part. Switch to another instrument in the dropdown if needed.

Reference A

Default is A440. Tap + / to match your ensemble — A441–442 is common in orchestras, A415 for historical pitch.

The B♭ clarinet sounds a whole step lower than written: when you play a written C, the concert pitch is B♭. This tuner accounts for that automatically, so the note names you see match your part. Common intonation challenges for clarinetists include the throat tones — the open G, A♭, A, and B♭ just above the staff — which tend to go sharp because they use fewer fingers, reducing the resistance that keeps lower notes in tune. The chalumeau register can go flat in cold conditions. Your barrel joint is the primary tool for overall pitch adjustment: pull it out slightly to lower pitch, push it in to raise it. The pitch history display helps you see patterns across multiple notes — whether your upper register consistently runs sharp or your low notes go flat as air support drops.
